The 6th Annual City Championship Tournament was wrapping up pool play on
Saturday at City College of San Francisco. 48 teams from Northern
California participated as winners from each pool advance to bracket
play on Sunday. Here are some player updates.
Cameron Graham 6-foot-4 Wing Natomas (Team Sage Truth) 2014: The junior
is a consistent perimeter shooter. He plays active on defense by
disrupting passing lanes and is a solid rebounder. Graham is a legit
DII prospect but could develop into a low DI prospect.
Spencer
Clark 6-foot-3 SF Mt Diablo (Oakland Soldiers 17 Blue) 2014: Clark is
athletic and versatile in his scoring as he finishes well at the basket
but can also make the perimeter shot. Per his club coach, Chico State
and Portland have expressed interest.
Mo Britten 6-foot-3 Wing
Del Campo (Team Sage Truth) 2014: Britten plays fundamentally well as he
boxed out well for rebounds. He displayed a good back to the basket
game with a solid perimeter shot. If adds some height or further his
perimeter skills, he could be a low DI prospect.
Mason Washington
6-foot-2 PG Modesto Christian (Lakeshow Elite 17) 2014: The junior runs
the team well with his ball control and passing. He shot the three
pointer well. Cal Poly SLO and UC Irvine have expressed interest.
Alec
Andrews 6-foot-3 SF Folsom (E-Time Hoops 2016) 2016: Andrews is a long,
athletic wing. He attacks the rim well and had a few nice floaters.
He plays smart as he helped on the weak side defense with a few blocks.
Forrest
Johnson 5-foot-10 PG Bradshaw Christian (Team Sage Truth) 2014: The
junior is a prototypical point guard in how he runs the offense and is
team oriented in his passing. Johnson is a good ball handler and makes
good decisions.
AJ John
6-foot-7 SF Maria Carrillo (Oakland Soldiers 17 Blue) 2014: Per his
club coach, Cal Poly SLO and Sacramento State are close to offering.
Deandre
Stallings 6-foot-4 Wing Liberty Ranch (NorCal Warriors 16s) 2015:
Stallings has a very consistent perimeter shot. He needs to develop his
other perimeter skills like dribbling and lateral defense. But his
size and shooting are ideal at his age.
Ryan Imihoff 6-foot-5 SG
Napa (Lakeshow Elite 17) 2014: Imihoff is slowly getting on the radar of
college programs. He has a strong outside shot and plays strong.
Chico State, Humboldt State, and Sonoma State have expressed interest.
With his size and skill set, he can get greater exposure with a big
summer.
Brandon McGee 6-foot-1 SG Salesian (Oakland Soldiers 15U
Elite) 2016: The freshman is a pure shooter who has good range. He
displays good lateral movement and is quick.
Isaiah Brooks
5-foot-10 PG Sheldon (E-Time Hoops 2016) 2016: Brooks is a Sheldon
transfer. He is a good distributor and attacks the lane. He also
displayed a good perimeter shot. He hustled as he won a few 50-50 loose
balls.
Noah Orlik 5-foot-10 PG Montgomery (Oakland Soldiers 17
Blue) 2014: Orlik is a scoring point guard who gets to the rim
aggressively but also has a good mid range game. His on ball defense is
tight and harassing. Per his club coach, a few DII programs are in
contact.
Cameron Johnson CG Granada (Lakeshow Elite 16) 2015: The
Granada prospect is versatile in his scoring by being able to go to the
rim or shoot from the perimeter. Per his coach, Denver, Northern
Colorado, and St Mary's have put out feelers.
Jiday Ugbaja
6-foot-0 PG Riordan (Bay Area Warriors 17U) 2014: Ugbaja has good
strength and quickness for a point guard. He dribbles well but
sometimes plays out of control. Navy, Pacific, UC Riverside, and Yale
have expressed interest.
Daniel Solis
5-foot-11 PG Concord (Oakland Soldiers 17 Blue) 2014: Solis is a heady
point guard who runs the team well. He adds a solid perimeter shot and
plays perimeter defense well. Per his club coach UC Santa Barbara and
some Ivy League schools have expressed interest.
Devin Williams
5-foot-11 PG St Mary's Stockton (NorCal Warriors 16s) 2015: Williams is a
versatile point guard as he is shifty in creating his own shot but can
run plays for teammates as well. His jump shot has a good vertical. He
handles the press well.
Chiefy Ugbaja 6-foot-3 Wing Riordan (Bay
Area Warriors 17U) 2014: The junior has a different level of
athleticism and quickness. He is too short to play the inside but needs
to improve his perimeter skills. He hustles and tries to do anything
to help the team win. Per his club coach, Yale has expressed interest.
Casey
Raquemore 5-foot-10 PG Berkeley (Oakland Soldiers 15U Elite) 2016:
Raquemore is a versatile point guard. He can break down his defender
when going to the basket. He dribbles well with either hand and is
quick. His court vision is also solid.
